Celebrating a decade of elegance, JIC (Jewelry Information Center) acknowledged the achievements and honorees in the fine jewelry industry at the 10^th annual GEM Awards gala, hosted January 6th.

The successes of fine jewelry retailers, manufacturers, designers and communicators are awarded and honored each year at the highly regarded GEM Awards.  Held at Cipriani, 42^nd Street, New York City, the GEM Awards expressed praise to Ralph Destino who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement.  Destino has carried many prior achievements and positions, including former Chair of JIC. 

The GEM Awards Corporate Communications Award was delegated to Chanel Fine Jewelry.  2012 celebrates the 80^th Anniversary for Chanel Joaillerie by its founder Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel in November of 1932.  Eighty years later, Chanel Fine Jewelry still conveys it’s excellence and superiority.
