Valued by jewelry collectors around the globe, the Sevan Bicakci collection has become a popular line of exquisite craftsmanship.
At the very young age of 12, Turkish-Armenian designer, Sevan Bicakci began jewelry design and learned from working in his has master, Hovesep Catak’s workshop. Known as the “king of rings,” Bicakci now designs beautiful pieces of art that are adored by well-known collectors and celebrities. His first collection was introduced to the Turkish market in 2002 and was inspired by the ambiance of the Grand Bazaar and Sultanahmet areas.
His collections carry a similar mood and vibe to the historical and cultural shopping experiences. Since then his line has taken off internationally, capturing the attention of jewelry lovers everywhere.
Diamonds, platinum, gold, silver, rose gold, precious gemstones, rubies, pearls and more are all part of the materials used in this stunning collection. There is huge variety for different preferences and tastes. Many pieces are designed after historical monuments and convey cultural meanings. You can often find the designs of palaces, churches, fountains and more adopted into his work- all from his homeland Istanbul. This gives his collection a type of creative and exclusive flair rarely expressed in jewelry. A great deal of time, patience and excellence goes into every ring, which doesn’t allow for mass production and gives you confidence that you hold a unique piece of jewelry. Bicakci won several prominent awards for his excellent design and creativity including the Town & Country Award three years in a row, 2006, 2007 and 2008, in the Gemstone category. He was also announced as one of the top five independent jewelry designers of 2007 by the Tanzanite Foundation. One look at his beautiful collection and you will instantly see why.
