If you’re big on costume jewelry, Catherine Stein Designs should already be on your radar. Founded in 1971 by Catherine Stein with Marsha Blye and Sharon Goldberg, the trio continues to work together in finding inspiration for the designs and market the brand.
Now with close to 30 years of experience, Catherine Stein Designs has partnered with Fashion Accessories First, Inc., a leading supplier of fashion jewelry. This 2008 partnership has opened the brand up to more retailing options and has helped to grow their already loyal customer base. What was once a boutique fashion accessories store has now expanded to a showroom in the fashion hub that is NYC.
The collection is known for excellently-fashioned costume jewelry. The necklaces feature gorgeous statement pieces that will automatically dress up even the simplest of outfits: The jet stone collar necklace is a chunky bib collar that sparkles with faceted teardrop, square, and circular stones.
Catherine Stein Designs also has a secondary brand, Stein & Blye. Because this collection is made with semiprecious stones and is more upscale, the price point is a bit higher than the original brand. My favorite piece from the collection is the Stein & Blue Enamel Cuff, a black enamel bracelet accented by an elaborate leaf adorned with twinkling stones.
Catherine Stein Designs and Stein & Blye are available at almost all of your favorite online retailers. Shopstyle, Nordstrom, and Lord & Taylor are among the many vendors – take a look around, you’ll be sure to find something you love. Visit www.catherinestein.com to learn more.
