Celebrity Jewelry Design: Brangelina Create Protector, Jane Seymour Open Heart

What does Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Jane Seymour have in common? Well, other than their influential star power, they are all designing significant collections for reputable jewelry stores.

The London-based Asprey has just landed a deal with Brangelina (as in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie) for the silver and gold, limited-edition Protector collection (pieces starting at $525) just in time for the holidays. Many of the pieces in the Protector collection have snakes-like designs. Jolie consider the serpent to be a protector of her family, when she wore a reptile-like ring when pregnant with one of her children.

The collection will be available in London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai after the Thanksgiving holiday. All proceeds from this collection will go to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, an organization that raises awareness and funds to educate children of war. Items also included in Brangelina collection are children’s spoons, eggcups, tooth boxes and picture frames.

Although the Open Heart collection has been around since spring 2009, it still has a great meaning that will last a lifetime. The Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Dancing with the Stars star, Jane Seymour, launched her line of Open Heart jewelry (prices starting at $49.00) available exclusively at Kay Jewelers in late spring.

Her collection proves that design may be her best medicine, since the award-winning star admits that she is deeply involved in this collection. The inspiration from this collection comes off the heels of a nasty divorce, when the Dr. Quinn actress admits to drawing open hearts as a way to express herself. According to Seymour, “if your heart is open, love will always find its way in.” With a quote like that I’m certainly inspired and will approach each situation with an open heart.
