Bib Necklaces from DANNIJO to Banana Republic: Jewelry Trends for 2010

If you are looking for a necklace as the centerpiece to your outfit or to simply present a more upscale look to your wardrobe, the bib necklaces seen on the runways this year will do just that. Whereas layering your single strand necklaces has long been a popular look, bib necklaces are a bit more on the statement piece side.

We've previously mentioned our love for design sisters, Danielle and Jodie Synder, and DANNIJO continues to hold our hearts when it comes to bib necklackes. Their Etta necklace not only incorporates the bib look, but includes metal, which is another hot jewelry trend for 2010 (as opposed to this year's "crafty necklaces.")

A more intricately designed bib necklace from Banana Republic may also be up your alley. I love the ribbon closure and stones in this design. It is also a very affordable $125.

What do you think of the bib necklace trend? Too gaudy? Or simply spectacular?
