Golden Globes Jewelry Understated Yet Sophisticated

Could the economy have played a role in the lack of excess jewelry that we saw on the red carpet for the Golden Globes last night? The overall jewelry theme appeared to be understated yet sophisticated; elegant but not over the top. We all love the glitz and glamour of the red carpet, but did anyone else notice a typically key jewelry piece missing from most celebrities looks? I sure did: the necklace.

Here are some celebrities whose jewelry was minimalistic, but still made a great overall complement to their fashion style.
