Fitness PR: Sporty Designerwear with Sergio Rossi, BCBGirls, and Burberry

Even if you're not into sports, there are pieces you can add to your wardrobe that will look like you just stepped off the tennis court. Lately, designers have been creating looks that Sporty Spice would die for. The traditional sneaker has become fashionized (my own word) into the sneaker pump. They were showcased on the runway by DKNY and now Sergio Rossi has a line of sneaker pumps for Puma. So, will this trend catch on or do designers just need to take a cold shower?

Sergio Rossi's line has the most stylish sneaker pumps I've seen so far. I've cringed at this trend in the past, but I think Rossi's are about as tasteful as you can get. An affordable version I like are these BCBGirls "Elton" sneaker wedges. They were about $90, but now they're 50% off at Nordstrom's, so you can get them for about $44. That's an afforable price for a trendy piece.

Some other sporty designer pieces you can find are in the hat department of Bloomingdale's. Burberry is known for its sporty designs and this visor is a perfect representation of their aesthetic. It's a great way to try out this trend without breaking the bank.

With this sporty designer trend, I have to advise against going all out. You wouldn't want to wear sneaker pumps with a visor and a sporty bag. You don't want to look like you're trying too hard. If you're going for this look, just wear one piece at a time.

Do you like this look? Tell us what you think.
