New Balance for Nine West Collection

Nine West/New BalanceWhen I go to the gym, there's always some part of me that still wants to look pretty. I just can't allow myself to look deshelved when I'm out in public. Thus, I buy cute workout clothes. I know other women do too, because my size is usually sold out in the cute skorts that tennis players wear. Of course, shoes are included in this. It's so hard to find cute athletic shoes that don't make your feet look huge. And why? Don't they know they're making these shoes for women?

Well, Nine West and New Balance have answered our prayers. The luxury shoe maker and the athletic shoe maker have teamed up to make just that: a luxury athletic shoe. The shoes are dubbed "the perfect combination of performance and fashion" on Nine West's website. No longer must we endure clonking around in too-wide sneakers at the gym. Now we can wear shoes that are form-fitting and hip. So, will they sell or just go on sale?

Sheer New BalanceThe New Balance for Nine West collection, which releases March 16, is a mix of sophistication and trendy. It features a lot of silver and gray for neutral lovers, and bright neons for those who want to stand out when they're working out. The Kiki shoe, pictured left, also comes in a version with neon rubber banding. I think this shoe is perfect for the golf course. They look really comfortable too. If it's laceless you prefer, go for the Sheer collection, pictured right. They're made of mesh so your foot can actually breath. They also come in a less practical, backless version.

They created six versions of the New Balance classic, which have a few neutral and a few colorful pairs, to go along with the color scheme. The collection also features a line of sandals, but I would stick to the sneakers. The old adage "stick to what you know" fits well here.

Overall, I think this line has something for all types of shoe lovers. At a price of $89 or less, which isn't much more than regular sneakers, you're getting what you pay for. The shoes are modern yet classic and, best of all, you'll look cute while you get your sweat on.

What do you think about these shoes? Would you buy them?
