Luxury New York Public Relations: Bridal Fashion Week

Bridal Fashion Week, which is really more of a "weekend", just wrapped up in NY yesterday with many new trends emerging from the runway that future brides may, or may not, be crazy about. For one, black wedding gowns via Vera Wang (unless you were the Goth that sat in front of me in Economics class, I don't see this one going very far.) Or super sexy gowns with the slit all the way up the leg from Reem Acra (I honestly don't think I could look the Pastor in the eye if I wore that walking down the aisle.) There's something to be said for why traditional gowns have continued their prominence all of this time.

There are two bridal trends that I do find interesting. I love the small bits of color, such as a blush colored veil or wedding dress (we can thank Reese Witherspoon for making this cool in the first place.) I love the blush tulle gown from Monique Lhuillier because it's romantic looking. Additionally I love color in the embroidery, such as with the dress from Carolina Herrera. The black makes it feel vintage and adds glamour without resorting to trend #1, a black wedding gown.

Are you getting married? Did you go for modern or traditional with your wedding gown? Tweet us @PierceMattiePR.
