With the huge influence of the recession, many designers have been focusing their attention on accessories rather than garments. The handbag is no longer seen as a mere accessory by designers, but as a fundamental must-have that is not only practical, but illuminates a person's personality and style. Popular trends this season range from highly practical huge totes to tiny eccentric clutches for evening wear. One of my personal favorite handbag designers is the ever glamorous Michael Kors. I’m not sure if it’s Michael Kors style or his unique coloring in his bags that just make them stand out and scream buy me!
With a new season approaching, a new bag is a must. Here are just a few of his great bags for the season:
One of my favorites of his handbags right now is his shoulder tote in yellow, which is the definite
“it” color right now. This bag would add a punch of color to any outfit and is roomy enough to hold everything you need without being too big. This spurge-worthy bag is available on his website or at Nordstrom for under $500. The bag is also available in Walnut and Navy.
One of the most essential accessories to own is definitely a clutch; it great as a day or evening bag. The gold metal logo-engraved handle really makes this clutch pop. I personally love this because I tend to have clumsy moments and with the interior's zipped pockets it ensures that my cards and keys won’t fall out. What is so key
about this clutch is the usability- whether you are sporting a casual outfit or dressed at night, a clutch is a great match. It comes in gold, sexy python or vanilla leather.
The Michael Kors Gansvoort Shoulder Satchel will make a great addition to your spring collection of handbags, as well. The bold shading looks very pleasing to the eye not being too vibrant, but still usable for seasons to come. This is appropriate for casual carryall and practical, with straps and buckles all throughout adding style and luxe to its totality.
What are your favorite Kors bags this season?
