Fashion PR: Bridal Gowns Alvina Valenta by Victoria McMillan

When I first saw the Alvina Valenta bridal collection by Victoria McMillan, I immediately thought of the novel Les Liaisons Dangereux by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, about amorous games and affairs between eighteenth century French aristocrats. On a closer examination, I thought that her gowns could be real-life wedding dress adaptations for a Disney princess. Could you see the Little Mermaid wear this to her wedding?

The wedding dresses are worthy of royalty, decked in detailed fabric combinations, every dress reminds you of an elaborate wedding held in an European garden with seductive members moving in irresistible elegance. The collection is presented in the same romantic genre with multi-color carnations and roses flourishing in the canopy of the photos. The sexiness of the dresses would enhance the beauty of any bride. The gowns come in the greatest assortment of colors. No dress comes in less than four color options, allowing a bride to pick from fancifully named colors like rum pink, eggshell, oyster, and vanilla. Sounds like a nice spread, is anyone else getting hungry?

This A-line, draped strapless sweetheart gown is available in white, eggshell (pictured), oyster, and ivory. The stunning details are hand beaded white Alencon lace. Dress is made from a combination of silk, satin, and organza. Each of Victoria McMillan’s creations has an element of asymmetry to draw the audience in closer to the fine details. Pictured below, the duchess fit-and-flare bridal gown is optimized with bow and crystal brooch on the neckline.

Philadelphia native Victoria McMillan honed her craft at her alma mater Drexel University, Nesbitt. Her personal style and attention to detail only bring more exciting energy to her latest fall collection. She also hosts twenty-three bridesmaid styles in her Fall 2008 collection.

Whether you’re a mermaid marrying her land-dwelling prince or a lady of the French high court joining a modern marquis in holy matrimony, a dress in the Alvina Valenta by Victoria McMillan collection is a must viewing. What are your thoughts on the collection?
