If any Designer's runway look thus far into New York Fashion Week emulated "Spring," no one did it better than Michael Kors. With colors that looked like freshly sprouted blooms and a style that was airy and "country club chic," Michael Kors SS08 makes me want to hop into a time machine and fast forward to Spring.

Besides the fact that everything in this collection was completely wearable, I noticed a recurring theme with many of the accessories: thin belts, oversized hats, oversized handbags and plenty of gold accents. Michael Kors collection flowed easily and was breathtaking. However, while models glided across the runway in a palette of soft colors and black and whites, PETA was just outside the doors protesting the designer. The protesters held up grotesque signs and one protester held a dead dog by the tail as they chanted, "No more fur!" I quickly snapped this shot of one of the protesters dressed like a "sexed up" version of a police officer as she talked with a photographer about the mistreatment of animals for their fur.
PETA's protest is in regards to Michael Kors current catalog which includes two fur hats; one mink and one fox. Peta is also currently protesting Burberry for their use of fur, as well.
