The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD), Palatine, IL, recognized member companies for their innovative products, package designs and marketing ideas at the association's eighth annual CITY Awards for Cosmetic Innovators of The Year, held June 29, 2011 in New York City.
On presenting the awards, ICMAD President/CEO Pamela Jo Busiek said, "the CITY Awards are about the creativity and effort by our member companies and their dedicated teams. These awards truly represent everything that makes the cosmetics business so dynamic."
The CITY Awards winners are:

- CITY Award for Color Cosmetic Product: BROW POWER, by IT Cosmetics, Jersey City, NJ.
- CITY Award for Professional Skin Care Product: LA BELLA VITA COSMETICO, by Bella Vino, New York, NY.
- CITY Award for Mass Skin Care Product: BYE BYE LID LINES, by IT Cosmetics, Jersey City, NJ.
- CITY Award for Personal Care Package Design: FREEDOM OF STYLE TUBE, by Ecru New York, Fairlawn, NJ.
- CITY Award for Color Cosmetic Package Design: MY STEPPES, by Iredale Mineral Cosmetics, Great Barrington, MA.
- CITY Award for Advertising and Marketing: "THINK OF US AS THE LADDER," by CBI Laboratories.
- NEW CITY Award for NEW Beauty Innovation (For a member company in business three years or less): IT Cosmetics, Jersey City, NJ.
