DKNY Fragrance PR Launch of Candy Apple

We’ve officially reached our sugar limit. DKNY, capitalizing on the success of its signature scent DKNY Delicious, recently launched the Delicious Candy Apple collection. Focusing on humor rather than sex, the campaign is setting itself apart from the usual fragrance advertisements of shirtless men. The advertisements includes a candy workshop themed commercial explaining how the three came to be. The three fragrances contain more flavors than a candy store.

Sweet Caramel, the green candy apple, contains whiffs of marshmallow, violet, candy apple, pear and (mmm) whipped vanilla. Ripe raspberry, the red fruit, blends raspberries, applies, peonies, lilies and-wait for it- cola. And finally the juicy berry, the purple apple, contains black currants, blackberries, pears, lychee, sandal wood and blonde wood.

The humorous campaign combined with sugar-laden flavors means only one thing: sweetness. We love the different approach DKNY is taking to the fragrance market. And though the scents seem maybe too flavorful, if they’re anything like Delicious, we’re going to love smelling like a candy apple. All three fragrances are available at Sephora for $55.
