Do you ever feel like your face is melting off under the hot sun on a summer day? Well, not your actual face, but the one you apply before you leave the confines of your house. Even with the thinnest layer of foundation or concealer on, I still get that melting popsicle feeling in the middle of the day, do you?
Within the last year, I’ve turned to mineral makeup for a simple solution. The lightweight, breathable makeup leaves you looking made-up without being weighed-down. It feels like you’re "naked," not to mention the minerals work wonders on your skin. Mineral Essence has a loose powder foundation made up of 100% micronized minerals that will give you that flawless look without the heaviness of most liquid or crème foundations.
If you’re like me, though, and you more enjoy to go bare-faced during the hot months, then Paula’s Choice has a tinted moisturizer with SPF 20 that gives you a cool, fresh looking face and protects you from the sun at the same time.
Then, there’s the matter of lips. More than anything, especially in the summertime, I cannot stand the feeling some lip glosses give you; that sticky, heavy feel that won’t come off even with intense scrubbing. Lip gloss is supposed to feel light, give you a gorgeous color and not be dripping off your lips. So a stain is usually the best solution for all-day lip color in the summer months. You can apply two coats of Paula’s Choice Sheer Cream Lipstick SPF 15, and then after two minutes dab off with a tissue, leaving behind tinted lips that will last all day and night.
So, you see, there’s no need to be melting down like that frozen margarita you’re enjoying in the blistering heat.

As a Skin-Care Expert, I am privy to a lot of skin. I love the sun protection quality of mineral makeup. And also the ability for the skin to shine through. It is not heavy or clogging like other liquid foundations.
One tip though, Make sure to clean your brush regularly. At least once a week with a good brush cleaner,(or at least rubbing alcohol). Think about all those pesky lil' germs hanging out and "brewing" bacteria after swiping the brush all over your face!!!
