Have you ever wanted to be as fabulous as a secret agent? Well, now you can look like one. Guerlain has released a lipstick that is in a sleek, metal case that looks like it should shoot lasers, but instead, it holds a pretty lip color. Intrigued? I was too, so I investigated. I want to know: what exactly are the components of this hi-tech lipstick?
Here are the details:
The luxe lipstick launched last week on April 1. It is available in 25 shades and costs about $45. The casing was designed by Lorenz Baumer, a jeweler based in Paris at the Place Vendome, known for its fashionable residents and luxury hotels. When you press the button on the case, it releases with a click and presents a mirror. When you pull on the bottom, a lipstick is revealed from inside the case. I can't wait to try it out in person.
The lipstick formula contains a ruby powder that reflects sunlight to create luminiscence and that shades it comes in look amazing. It is also said to be smoothing, plumping and hydrating.
There's been a whole lot of buzz going around the blogosphere about this lipstick and I'm eager to track its success. Depending on how well it does and how functional the gadget-y aspect is, it could change the way lipsticks are packaged. It certainly is convenient to have a mirror inside the case. Rouge G de Guerlain will available for purchase in about 100 stores worldwide, but you can also buy it online at Nordstrom.com.

I bought one last week and I love it. I have always loved Guerlains Kiss Kiss lipsticks so I gave this one a try, it feels so silky on my lips and the case is stunning! The price is a little higher than Kiss Kiss but it's worth every Penny!
