It seemed like only yesterday that Christina Aguilera released her self-named first fragrance under the slogan, “Sometimes, It’s All You Need To Wear” and taunting us on-screen with her porcelain skin. Her sequel fragrance, INSPIRE, is now in stores to continue her capitalization of the perfume market. Inspire is about elegant and enduring sexiness with a olfactory mixture of fruit notes and the scents of tuberose, freesia and gardenia. Inspire is made and distributed by Cincinnati-based mega corporation Proctor & Gamble. The fragrance comes in a teardrop-shaped bottle with decorated silver cap in Christina’s signature red. The entire INSPIRE presentation is sexy and confident: look for a playful pop art pattern inside the box.
P&G hired creative director Olivier van Doorne and Photographer David LaChapelle to be responsible for the new INSPIRE fragrance commercials. The commercial immerses the foxy Christina in a whimsical wonderland inspired by pop art and the nightlife of Tokyo. Christina plays with the bubbles in a scene of colorful and bold patterns.
The fragrance is just another step in the young platinum-blonde singer’s career. Christina Aguilera expects to release a new album this year with recent single ‘Keeps Getting Better’ that dropped in 2008. She also released a compilation covering her greatest hits exclusively for Target. 2009 is looking to be her blockbuster year.
