When we signed Novalash as a client, I was very excited. Not only were we going to be working with THE best eyelash extension company, their founder Sophy Merszei, comes with outstanding credentials. She is molecular biologist, cosmetic chemist, and a creative and dynamic entrepreneur.

One of the great things about working in beauty PR is that I get to try everything and weigh in with my own opinion. My philosophy is that in order to promote a product, you must believe in it.

Well, I tried the extensions and WOW! I am almost embarrassed to admit that I was skeptical pre-application - I have sensitive skin, I wear contacts, the application takes two hours and I can’t sit still that long, and if they looked too fake I would hate them. I am a tough customer for sure.

Did I say WOW? They are amazing – see my before and after photos below. I am now a card-carrying eyelash extension advocate; I have seen the light (through my thick and gorgeous lashes). I worked with Courtney Yorio, of Uptown Girl, who applied my lashes on July 10th. It was a painless process, it took about 2 ½ hours, and the maintenance has been a breeze. The most important thing when you are getting a lash application is the glue, and Sophy has the best glue on the market. Don’t let the competition fool you, they might say they have good glue but it’s from China and is sub-par to Sophy’s secret formula.

So it’s been just about a month with the lashes and I have gotten so many compliments, referred Courtney several new clients, and relished in the fact that I no longer have raccoon eyes from mascara. In fact, on the weekends wearing no make-up feels great. And the maintenance has been a breeze; I don’t rub my eyes, and I am careful when I wash my face. Keep in mind that I am an active girl, since I got the lashes I have been boogie boarding in the ocean and pushed off the dock at the lake more times than I can count by my two year old – and the lashes still held – and no black stuff running down my face.

Novalash is a truly amazing product and I highly recommend trying lash extensions, BUT make sure you go to a Novalash trained technician and that they use Platinum Bond glue so the lashes last.
