Fashionistas from all over the world congregated in Las Vegas last week for the Pool, Project and Magic Trade Shows. The Pool and Magic Trade Shows feature a variety of lifestyle products, while Project Trade Show focuses on ready-to-wear apparel. Here, exhibitors can showcase their cool new lines and products to potential buyers and retailers.

The Pool Trade Show, which was miniscule in size compared to its counterparts, was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Sexy, pink haired girls in short skirts and midriff bearing tops handed out freebies and water. Companies like STAGR.com were one of the many new and up and coming lines that was featured at the event. A big trend at this show was t-shirts and zip-ups with urban detailing.
The Project Trade Show should be called the denim trade show. Denim is king at this show. Brands like Bread Denim showcased their latest styles to the public. Project was beautifully decorated with innovative seating and fun interior décor. It was reminiscent of a cool new club where beautiful people lounge on chases waiting to be seen. But among these faces were many straight faced buyers looking to find the latest trends at the best prices.
Magic was a behemoth of a show. Already established brands are booth to booth with new comers. Every booth was huge and elaborately decorated. They could almost second as retail shops one finds walking down Rodeo complete with sales staff. Magic was a maze of an event that was sure to be overwhelming for a first timer like myself.
With such an array of awesome lines, the shows were exhaustingly fun. But, I definitely enjoyed the all the free goodies.
