Jane Fonda's Fitness Marketing & PR of Prime Time

Jane Fonda has a new book and workout videos on the market, so break out the leg warmers and get moving...that is, if you are a baby boomer. Jane Fonda is genius. Today's fitness videos, exercise and weight loss shows and gym workouts are targeted to the young and middle aged (just in case you haven't noticed.) But what about those 50+? Jane Fonda, now age 73, decided this was one demographic that was untapped in the fitness industry. And as the largest consumer base in the country, she has targeted her latest venture of fitness DVDs Prime Time Walkout and Prime Time Fit & Strong specifically to them.

The DVDs are aimed at providing a low impact workout that helps older bodies build strength, balance and increase flexibility. Although an actress and fitness guru, Fonda is very relatable to this older generation having had a hip and knee replacement herself. She speaks from experience encouraging those that they can still remain healthy and fit well into their twilight years or as Fonda refers to it, their "Third Act."

Does this open the flood gates for more fitness regimens targeted to this demographic? Share your thoughts with us on Twitter @piercemattiepr
