We smell kitty litter, Kitty Kelley that is. Ms. Kelley’s latest unauthorized biography is of none other than Oprah Winfrey. From a PR standpoint we first thought, Kitty has some serious balls going up against “The O” in writing this non-fiction account of Winfrey's life. But from a PR standpoint we thought it was rather quite genius, at least from a book sales perspective. Though we can’t recover from the general idea that its just too taboo to write slanderous accounts that may or may not be true about the most successful black women alive today.
We deem it to be a little more acceptable if it was about a white politician who came from a good home and suddenly took a turn for the worse, ie; John Edwards. But that was actually Kelley's previous book on the Bush family and before that on the Regans. But a victim turned victorious who is seen by the world as the next coming of Christ is another story!
We are sure Kelley will find a home of press hungry media outlets willing to interview her such as The O’Reilly Factor, which is one of our least favorite programs in broadcast journalism today.
Kitty if you're reading this .... we can promise you Kelley that no one at Pierce Mattie will be reading your book or watching Bill on Fox for that matter.
In hopes of persuasion Kitty we have compiled a list of people we think you should research for your next biography after your media tour on Oprah: A Biography is over.
The short list of who Kitty Kelley should feature in her next biography:
- The Kardashian Family
- Steven Spielberg
- Stephanie Meyer
- Rupert Murdoch
- Ryan Seacrest
- Roman Polanski
