Daydreaming about fabulous clothes and extraordinary adventures in the wake of a recession sometimes seems to be my only escape.  With summer quickly approaching the urge to splurge on bizarre outings with the girls and romantic getaways with your sweetie can be overbearing, but retreating to the movies is an inexpensive way to escape the madness of everyday life. It's safe to say that in an economic state of uncertainty film studios opted to go risk-free this summer. Yes - let's give our viewers something that they have seen before and stay within the box. It's a sure way of getting a calculated ROI on your production investments. Nevertheless it's Part II.... this summer!

Sex and the City 2: Opening in theaters on May 28, 2010, this highly anticipated sequel is sure to top boxes offices opening weekend. Re-teaming the original energetic cast from HBO’s series “Sex and the City” this is sure to be a glitzy journey through New York City’s high-life-living.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse: Caught up in a city ravaged by vampires, Bella finds herself in the midst of danger once again. Opening in theaters on June 30, 2010 audiences will see Bella on a rollercoaster ride of heart wrenching decisions in a power struggle between vampires and werewolves.

Shrek Forever After: In the final chapter of the animated series, Shrek plans to recapture his mojo to see what life would have been like if he never existed. Coping with the idea of being married to Princess Fiona and raising triplets, things get a little crazy when Shrek showcases his fierce public persona that no one is afraid of. Opening on May 21, 2010, this DreamWorks production is sure to be a hit nationwide.

Iron Man 2: Robert Downey Jr. returns to Iron Man 2 as Tony Stark, set to hit theaters May 7, 2010. His wealthy playboy character stands up against two arch nemeses. This film is not yet rated, but I am sure it will keep you in suspense every step of the way.
