If you are like any other fabulous New Yorker, you probably won’t be sitting on your sofa munching on Funyons and watching tonight’s highly anticipated Dateline interview with Britney Spears. So set your Tivo and watch it when you get home because it will be all the rage around the water cooler tomorrow! It has been months since Spears’ last televised interview as she has been trying to keep a low profile since being a new mom. Sorry Britney, but discretion has never been on your side and the world won’t give up on finding out what has been going on behind closed doors.
Spears has received much scrutiny over her parenting skills, her marriage and if she’s got another bun in the oven (yes, she does!) and it’s amazing she hasn’t had a nervous breakdown. Apparently we will see her come close in tonight’s interview with NBC hottie Matt Lauer. As she tries to tell America that she’s part of the common folk, trying to raise a child and have a successful marriage, she breaks into tears. Nice theatrics!
I have to say that I really feel bad for her though. Imagine being a young mother for the first time, which women do everyday, and being nervous and afraid that you won’t be able to raise your child right, all while being examined under the paparazzi microscope? I know I wouldn’t be able to take it. Hang in there Britney!
